Our monthly Sadeeq Gathering is a community event designed to support Newcomers to Islam (new Muslims) and Ambassadors (mentors) in building meaningful connections, deepening Islamic knowledge, and fostering a sense of belonging. Whether you’ve recently embraced Islam, are exploring the faith, or want to support others on their journey, Sadeeq Night offers a warm, judgment-free space to learn, share, and grow.

A key feature of the evening is the Sadeeq Roundtable—an open, interactive discussion where Newcomers can ask questions about Islam, share personal challenges, and receive guidance from experienced converts and mentors. You’ll also be inspired by real-life stories of individuals who have made a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Each gathering includes refreshments, giving you the opportunity to connect with fellow attendees in a relaxed, friendly setting. Whether you come to learn, meet new friends, or find a mentor, our Sadeeq Gatherings are a consistent space for new Muslims to seek support and build community.

Sadeeq Program FAQ’s

The word "Sadeeq" is commonly translated as true friend and companion. Finding a sadeeq is a key element of this mentorship program.
Newcomers are Muslims who have recently converted to Islam and are seeking support.
Ambassadors are mentors and friends to Newcomers, and they assist Newcomers in achieving their goals.
After applying to the program, you will be contacted by a coordinator for an introductory phone call. Both your application and phone conversation will be used to help assess compatibility.

Yes! The Sadeeq program hosts events and socials throughout the year that are open to everyone. Checkout the social events calendar here.
We ask that you still apply so that you receive the latest news.
Every month, we host a community night for those new to the program. We also organize hikes, coffee hangouts, prayer workshops, Ramadan preparations, Ramadan iftars, and more. Most of the events we host are for new Muslims but are also open to everyone. Check out the social events calendar.
