What is Good Tree all about?
Good Tree Institute fosters connection and personal discovery through the Quran by offering online Quranic and Arabic courses, and in person retreats and camp for teen & adults. All of our programs are in a welcoming, discussion-based format environment where any question is welcome. Our students are given a space to connect to and understand the Quran at a deeper level. At the core of our institute is Dr. Nadia Katrangi, Good Tree’s chairman with a gift of bringing to life the words of the Quran, making them relevant for this moment in time and initiating meaningful discussion.

How is Good Tree different from other Islamic institutes?
Good Tree believes that truth is awakened, not given. By that, we mean that someone's spiritual connection to God is a personal journey and can't be rushed or forced on anyone. Here are 5 reasons our institute is especially unique:
- Our programs are discussion-based and designed for you to bring your life, struggles, and successes to the conversation in order to make a lasting impact on what is important to you.
- The Good Tree curriculum is rooted in the Quran, yet culturally relevant.
- We are one of the few organizations that work on personal development and strengthening spirituality through the Quran.
- Our community is diverse, welcoming, and fosters a safe space, connection, trust, excellence, creativity, and generosity
- Arabic root words of the Quran play an important role in our curriculum— giving students an opportunity to connect to and understand the Quran at a deeper level.
How do the online classes work?
Regular attendance and cameras are required to be on when taking courses so we can build a sense of community and present while working with the Quran. We unfortunately cannot offer recordings for classes due to ensuring the privacy for participants and to encourage open discussion. Roots of the Quran, Arabic Reading & Arabic Grammar classes are meant to be attended at the time of class. These are recorded in case you have to miss a class one week, then you can make it up before the next class.
