Explore the 30th Juzz (Section) of the Quran in a 9-part series of weekend retreats

  • Based in Arizona, the 9-part series of weekend retreats are designed to convey a comprehensive understanding of the 30th Juzu’ (section) of the Holy Quran, which contain Surahs (Quranic Chapters) embodying a thematic principle. Come away with an understanding of basic foundational Quranic and the ability to critically reflect upon profound ideas such as the purpose of creation, how we view ourselves, and our role in society.

The series of retreats deliver a road map for life and allow retreaters to spiritually recharge, reconnect to God, and discover a newfound ability to relate to the Quran in a deeply personal way.

  • Each retreat goes over a few surahs (chapters) of the Quran. In addition to guided learning from Dr. Nadia, you will also have meaningful discussions at roundtables. And expect a couple of fun activities to help embrace what you discover for yourself.

  • Absolutely. We welcome Muslims of all backgrounds and anyone interested in Islam. Everyone will uncover the meanings of Quranic ayahs relevant to them. There is no pressure to learn and participate in one particular way.

Theme: Who Am I?

Surahs: Ad-Duha, As-Sharh, At-Teen, Al-Alaq, Al-Qadr, & Al-Bayyinah

Join us for a transformative weekend retreat where we dive deep into Surahs Ad-Duha, As-Sharh, At-Teen, Al-Alaq, Al-Qadr, & Al-Bayyinah, uncovering the Quran’s timeless guidance on truth, accountability, and justice.

This SOW aims to address one of the key questions people are constantly seeking to answer: Who am I? As we embark on a journey of understanding ourselves, we might define ourselves by our own beliefs or others’ perceptions. This retreat aims to have us take a step back from everyone else’s thoughts about the human being to present what our Creator says about us.

Explore select surahs from the 30th part of the Holy Quran as we uncover insights on identity, community-building, and the transformative power of the Quran in addressing societal challenges.

Led by Dr. Nadia Katrangi, Good Tree Chairman and head instructor, this retreat combines interactive group discussions, linguistic and historical context, and scholarly insight. Each session emphasizes the Quran’s relevance for today, helping participants apply its wisdom in their daily lives.
