Seeds of Wisdom reflections and takeaways
This past Seeds of Wisdom retreat was held at the stunning Parsons Leadership Center nestled in South Mountain. The center offered the best of both worlds—clean, modern facilities surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. It didn’t take long for retreaters to take full advantage of the peaceful setting, enjoying post-Fajr hikes and quiet walks during breaks, using the stillness of nature as a space for reflection and renewal.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this retreat was more than just a weekend getaway. It was a gathering of hearts—people coming together not just to increase their knowledge of the deen, but to share in love, connection, and mutual support.
The Quran sessions were deeply grounding and thoughtfully paced, guiding us through a powerful lineup of surahs: Ad-Duha, Ash-Sharh, At-Tin, Al-Alaq, Al-Qadr, and Al-Bayyinah. Each one added a new layer to the weekend’s central theme—“Who Am I?” This simple yet profound question echoed through every conversation and verse, encouraging us to seek personal meaning, identity, and purpose through the Quran’s divine guidance.
By the end of the retreat, we weren’t just leaving with notes and reflections—we were leaving with a renewed sense of self, grounded in revelation and nurtured by community..
