ABOUT THE COURSE

Quran & Me is an online series that explores the in-depth meaning of the Arabic root words of the Quran, delves into how we can live the Quran and how Allah's words are relevant to our lives today. In this upcoming series, we will continue learning the 28th Juz of the Holy Quran, and focus on what makes a healthy and powerful community.

Many of us, at some point, have experienced hurt while interacting with the people around us. As a result, we have either isolated ourself or unintentionally held a grudge with a “community” at large-not wanting to interact with those individuals on any level. But without community, how long can one truly stay connected to God? How can we see past our own hurt and how can we restore a healthy and a thriving relationship with our community? Over the next 4 weeks, we will address the key points needed to build and maintain a flourishing relationship with the people around us.

Backed by 20+ years of teaching experience, Dr. Nadia KatrangiGood Tree Chairman and instructor of the series will guide the group in a lively and active discussion filled with reflection. Like all of our curriculum, Quran & Me creates a unique space that encourages curiosity, trust, and connection and fosters a community that feels like home. Students often share that they feel rejuvenated, supported, and enriched.

Shared Student Experiences:

Karen:

“Good Tree has given me a connection to the Quran and Islam that I have never felt before. I feel the mercy of Allah and it has never given me more empathy or love for humanity."

Pam:

“The Quran & Me sessions have given me the ability to have tools to grieve my son's death without feeling as if I was being punished or even lacking understanding. Before I could even ask, God answered my prayers because He is ever-loving & ever merciful. Ya’ Allah, thank you for blessing me with an ummah of people who love, teach, and guide and walk with me closer to you. Who inspires me to be the me-ist of me by finding you!"
