Quran & Me is an online series that explores the in-depth meaning of the root words of the Quran, delves into how we can live the Quran and how Allah's words are relevant to our lives today. In this upcoming series, we will go over Juz 28, beginning with Sarah Al Mujadila— which covers the foundations of building a strong community, starting from the family and extending outward. Backed by 20+ years of teaching experience, Dr. Nadia Katrangi, Good Tree Chairman and instructor of the series, will guide the group in a lively and active discussion filled with reflection of the Quran.
Like all of our curriculum, Quran & Me creates a unique space that encourages curiosity, trust, connection and fosters a community that feels like home. Students often share that they feel rejuvenated, supported and enriched. The online series is a great place to explore Good Tree Institute and learn about our other programs.
Dr. Nadia Katrangi received multiple certifications by renowned scholars in Damascus, Syria. Her training in the Islamic Sciences included The Biography of The Prophet Mohammad, Quranic Sciences and Interpretation, Islamic History, Islamic Jurisprudence and the Sciences of Hadith (the legacy and tradition of the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him). Dr. Katrangi also received a certification of memorization and “tajweed” recitation (Ijaza) in Quran from the esteemed scholar, Sheikh Hasan Al-Kurdi. Today, she prides herself on finding beauty in the Quran, provoking thoughtful and nurturing conversations and encouraging an open space for all who attend Good Tree retreats, classes or camps. The most rewarding thing she sees time and again? When someone connects to themselves, those around them and to their Creator. “One of the biggest things you can do is recognizing who God is for you,” Nadia says. “There is so much love in the Divine. When you live your life from that place, you have that on your side."
Shared Student Experiences:
Good Tree has given me a connection to the Quran and Islam that I have never felt before. I feel the mercy of Allah and it has never given me more empathy or love for humanity."
Good Tree is an amazing way to connect with the Quran and its meaning in the language it was revealed in. It has revitalized my Iman (faith) and strengthened my desire to actually read and understand the message and guidance from the Lord."
